DEUTSCH: Wie kann gutes Essen für alle gerecht und nachhaltig produziert werden? Dieser Frage geht die Fotografin Carla Ulrich (*1996) in ihrer Werkreihe Autonome Felder nach. Das Buch gibt Einblicke in die tägliche Arbeit von drei alternativen landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben im Nordosten Deutschlands: Hof Basta, Ziegenhof am Gut Ogrosen und Erdhof Seewalde. Die drei Höfe haben unterschiedliche Schwerpunkte: Solidarischer Ackerbau, handwerkliche Milchverarbeitung und wesensgerechte Tierhaltung. Wer hinschaut, sieht nicht nur die glänzende Oberfläche eines idealistischen Vorhabens, sondern ein Auflehnen gegen eine wachstumsorientierte und oft ausbeutende Agrarstruktur. Die gleichnamige Ausstellung wurde 2023 im Museum im Herrenhaus der Domäne Dahlem präsentiert. 10% der Einnahmen werden an das Bündnis Junge Landwirtschaft gespendet.

ENGLISH: How can good food be produced in a fair and sustainable way for everyone? Photographer Carla Ulrich (*1996) explores this question in her series Autonomous Fields. The book provides insights into the daily work of three alternative farms in north-eastern Germany: Hof Basta, Ziegenhof am Gut Ogrosen and Erdhof Seewalde. The three farms each have their own focus: community-supported agriculture, artisanal milk processing and ethic animal farming. If you look closely, you will not only see the shiny surface of an idealistic project, but a rebellion against a growth-oriented and often exploitative agricultural structure. The exhibition of the same name was presented in 2023 at the Museum in the Herrenhaus of the Domäne Dahlem. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Bündnis Junge Landwirtschaft.
